Prunus ‘Kursar’ (proo-nus)
This is a well known and popular early flowering cherry. A stunning hybrid between P. nipponica var. kurilensis and P. campanulata. Found growing in many public parks in Japan and in parts of temperate Europe. This is an elegant cherry with a nice shape and although the flowers are not as showy as some of the other Japanese cherries, they are a beautiful deep pink colour that really makes the tree glow.
